I opened Pandora's can of worms with this video game. Paper Mario: Color Splash released for the Wii U in 2016, the last full year of that console's lifecycle. It sold by far the least copies of any game in the series due to the Wii U's lack of success- and I was one of the people who ended up passing on it.
