A pushcart full of hope – Mohammed’s story, Palestine

Seed money to start a small business helped a Palestinian father regain his footing. Mohammed surveys the colourful inventory on his pushcart, a wooden pallet packed tight with everything from socks and hairbands to school supplies and costume jewellery. His business is a simple one: selling wares to a mostly female clientele in Dura, a village in the Palestinian West Bank.
