Mads Mikkelsen plays Ido with oil-stained forearms and deep worry lines and a leather surgeon's apron and the particular fear of a father-figure who understands exactly what waits at the top and cannot make the person he loves choose differently. The fight through Iron City tears across factory floors and cargo tubes and the Motorball arena itself and Alita pushes past everything Warden brings until she breaks through and the cargo conduits open into Zalem and she walks into the pristine untouched world that Iron City has been starving to feed for generations and Nova is there with no proxy and no puppet between them for the first time. The system that killed Hugo ends in that room. Nine to eleven hours on this one. Building Alita's ascent as both a physical journey and a reckoning with everything Iron City cost her took serious emotional groundwork across every beat. Multiple tools, multiple full passes.
