I wanted the rear of my 18-foot equipment trailer to look cleaner and more protected, so I fabricated custom recessed pockets for the new trailer lights. In this video I plasma cut the steel, fit everything up, weld the pockets into place, grind and clean up the fabrication, and get the rear of the trailer ready for the recessed lights. This is part of my ongoing 5-ton equipment trailer rebuild, including rust repair, wiring, lighting, fabrication and upgrades. Tools used: • Plasma cutter • MIG welder • Angle grinder • Cutoff/grinding discs • Steel plate • Recessed LED trailer lights The goal was simple: get the lights tucked back into the trailer instead of hanging out where they can get smashed …and make the rear end look a hell of a lot cleaner in the process. #TrailerBuild #TrailerFabrication #Welding #PlasmaCutting #DIYTrailer #EquipmentTrailer #TrailerLights
