Psalm 66 - full version

[Verse] Raise a shout to God – all of the earth! Sing glory to His Name – for all you’re worth! His praises glorious – attend their birth! Say to God, “How awesome are Your deeds! Your power’s so great – here come cringing enemies!” To You all the earth will be feasting, and will sing! They’ll sing of Your Name, to You praises they will bring! [Verse] Come and see – all of God’s redemptive deeds By His awesome works – with the sons of Adam pleads He has turned – the sea into dry ground They walked on foot through the river, were not drowned In Him we rejoiced – right here, let praise abound! He rules and reigns – forever in His power His eyes keep watch – on the nations every hour He won’t allow success – to those building their own tower [Chorus] If I consider sin, heart insincere My Lord won’t listen to me, He will not hear But surely God has heard – is more than fair Has listened to my voice of praise and prayer Praise to our God, who has heard and set me free! Who has not rejected my prayer, but still loves me! [Verse] Praise our God, all you peoples of the land Let your voice be heard – songs of praise sing, as you stand He’s established us in a lifestyle so complete Not condemning us to the slipping of our feet God examines us, wants to see if we’re aligned You have tested us, and, like silver, have refined You have netted us – as You followed our tracks And it seems sometimes You’ve laid burdens on our backs You’ve let men ride upon us, rule our ways We’ve come through fires and flooding all of our days You’ve brought us out and relieved us, as always! [Verse] I will come to Your house with offerings Making peace by fulfilling vows I bring Words my mouth has promised – I confess Words I spoke from my lips when in distress Offerings of fat I’ll sacrifice With the aroma of rams I will entice Oxen and male goats – a heavy price [Bridge] Come and hear my report, all you fearers of God For things He’s done for my soul I’ll give Him laud Unto Him will my mouth and lips cry out Exalting Him with my tongue – removes all doubt!
