For today’s Hobby Review, I tried needle felting and made a little raccoon named Jimothy! 🦝 Needle felting sounds pretty simple—you take wool and continuously poke it with a very sharp needle until it turns into something. And technically… that is what you do. But getting that wool to actually look like a raccoon was another story. I brought my project to a café with Cheeyu, Toto, and my friend, and slowly watched Jimothy come to life. Along the way, I accidentally spent an hour using the wrong tool, broke two felting needles while making his wire legs, poked my fingers a few times, and learned quite a bit about needle felting. But somehow, we made it to the end. Meet Jimothy. 🦝 ⭐ HOBBY REVIEW 💰 Price: ★☆☆☆☆ 1/5 Needle felting is pretty affordable to start. You only need a few basic materials, and you can find inexpensive beginner kits online and in stores. ⏰ Duration: Around 1–3 hours for most small beginner kits Jimothy: …I stopped counting. 🪡 Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆ 2/5 The basic technique is really easy to learn, but I added an extra star for all the opportunities to poke your fingers. 😅 Would you try needle felting? And what animal should I try making next? Please like and subscribe if you’d like to join me as I try and review more hobbies!
