Happy Youm e Pakistan to Pakistan.
A day when a resolution was passed in Lahore to gain a separate land of Muslim majority that would be called "Pakistan".
A few take aways from this memorable day in my humble opinion:
The resolution was presented by Fazl e Haq - a leader from Bengal (then East Pakistan), it reminds us the contributions of Bengali leaders and folks in general for the making of this Homeland. We have already suffered a lot and it's time to learn from history and learn giving respect to all of our contributors specially Baluchistan in the contemporary age.
The resolution stated to struggle for a separate Homeland for Muslim majority areas of undivided India. Did you read? Muslim majority areas my dear friends to implement the system of Islam not secularism. Not free thinkers society, not aethism, not liberalism and off course not theocracy.
If I am not mistaken Pakistan' first constitution was formed the same day in 1956. It pleads us as a nation in general and authorities in particular to learn respecting the Constitution. Neither Armed forces nor politicians have the right to plunder the Constitution in any way.
I hope we will learn from the history. Long live Pakistan!
Pakistan Day or Pakistan Resolution Day, also Republic Day, is a national holiday in Pakistan commemorating the Lahore Resolution passed on 23 March 1940 and the adoption of the first constitution
