Every note becomes a tribute to process, memory, and movement, coming together at the launch of the Integrated Textile & Tourism Centre (ITTC). Envisioned as an integrated complex in Ri-Bhoi, the ITTC brings together every stage of Meghalaya’s silk and handloom journey, from raw materials and traditional knowledge to innovation, production, and cultural experience. With facilities for Ahimsa silk, design and innovation, weaving, garmenting, natural dyeing, retail, and hospitality, it positions Nongpoh as a gateway for textile tourism — preserving heritage, empowering women artisans, supporting GI-recognised handloom traditions, and connecting cocoon to cloth.
