I’d already been through a total hip replacement before… so I thought I knew what to expect. But this time felt completely different. This is my first week after my second total hip replacement surgery, from waking up in hospital through to struggling with basic movement at home and eventually taking my first steps outside on crutches just 7 days later. The reality of hip replacement recovery in the first week is slower, more exhausting, and far less predictable than most people expect. 🎥 Follow my recovery journey:    • Total Hip Replacement At 45 — Why I needed...   Instagram →   / russdilloncycling   Strava →   / strava   👉 Watch the first surgery video here:    • Cycling 2 Weeks After a Total Hip Replacem...   👉 Subscribe to follow my recovery series:    / @russ_dillon   Chapters: 0:00 Back Outside After 1 Week 0:06 Post-Surgery – Recovery Room 0:30 Morning After Surgery & Pain Reality 1:36 First Walk in Hospital 2:30 Day 2 – Early Exercises at Home 3:00 Struggling with Basic Movement 4:03 Stairs & Mobility Challenges 4:31 Standing Exercises & Progress 5:07 First Steps Outside – Day 7 #HipReplacement #HipSurgeryRecovery #TotalHipReplacement #RoadCyclingRecovery #7DaysRecovery #SecondHipReplacement #HipReplacementVlog #CyclingAfterSurgery #HipRehab
