“The Word becomes song, and the song becomes prayer.” The Psalms were born as songs, and prayer reaches its deepest place when it becomes music. This album sets Psalms 121 through 130 to song— a devotional offering, lifting Scripture itself as praise to the Lord. Rather than only reading the words, these songs invite us to sing the psalmist’s prayers, carrying ancient cries and hopes on gentle melodies. Within these ten pieces, we sought to reflect the beauty and profound emotion of offering the poetry of the Psalms back to God through music. This is the beginning of a continuing journey. Future releases will gather the Psalms in sets of ten, each album an offering of prayer and praise. May these songs become rest for the weary, breath for those who struggle to pray, and a source of joy and quiet comfort for many hearts.
