Life in Iceland means living on ground that is still being made. In this world documentary, we travel around the island on the one road that circles it to see how people live in Iceland: in a capital heated by hot water from under the streets, beside a volcanic peninsula that has erupted nine times since late 2023, on farms below glaciers, and in fishing villages where the road closes for the winter.
Along the way: Reykjavík and its outdoor pools, the Reykjanes Peninsula, the Golden Circle with Þingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss, the south coast, Vatnajökull and Jökulsárlón, the Eastfjords, the north around Mývatn and Húsavík, the Westfjords, Snæfellsnes, and the Westman Islands, where children rescue baby puffins every August. A world documentary about life in Iceland, from the first steaming pool to the last light of the midnight sun.
Subscribe to Lands We Live for one world documentary per country about how people really live there.
