A Great Hero

Radioactive Flower Hades grows radioactive flowers in his layered beard. Persephone tears their petals and wears them in her hair, blinding Hell with beauty. Ulysses, dying, wonders whether he will become one. A song from "Ulise și jocurile video" (Ulysses and the Video Games), a manuscript in progress, whose subtitle is "subtle tragedy like a stiletto planted with a smile." The Romanian original is by Ofelia Prodan (Ophoenix). This version is sung in English, in a Nordic, shamanic, underground sound. LYRICS Hades has radioactive flowers in his layered beard He only murmurs to or not be here Persephone tears the petals And puts them in her hair, blinding Hell with beauty Ulysses repents before himself Overcome by evil deeds of arms and mind Committed in the archive of youth Ulysses will die soon Ulysses wonders whether he will be, or not, a radioactive flower In the Elysian Fields Ulysses already sees himself in Hades's beard Persephone, Persephone, Ulysses calls from the wings, tell me, please What labor has Hades prepared for me? Dear Ulysses, Persephone answered him in waking life, Hades is ill He has a cold and a fever But he spoke in his sleep and said only this: "Ulysses is a great hero, And I am a poor man with the flu."
