My first time watching Lucky Number Slevin (2006) a seriously underrated crime thriller starring Josh Hartnett, Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Ben Kingsley, Lucy Liu, and Stanley Tucci. With a cast like this, I can't believe I almost never hear anyone talk about this movie! Lucky Number Slevin feels like an essential 2000s crime movie: clever dialogue, gangsters, assassins, mistaken identity, shifting loyalties, and enough twists and turns to keep me questioning everything until the pieces finally come together. Josh Hartnett leads the film as Slevin Kelevra, a man who finds himself caught between two rival crime bosses after being mistaken for someone else... and naturally, things get considerably more complicated from there! Throw Bruce Willis into the mix as the mysterious stranger and I knew there was WAY more happening than I was being told.
