Goudurix finally got new trains for the 2025 season, which are of the MK-1212 model from Vekoma. It features vest restrains to improve comfort and limit headbanging. Goudurix's old trains were up for sale during the pre-opening day on March 26th, which season pass holders have access to. The chassis was changed but the base of the trains remains the same as the old one. Whilst it does improve comfort, it also highlights the rough patches of the ride, which can be really bad. I still think it's an improvement, but the lack of padding or cushioning like the old trains used to have results in your head moving sideways on a lot of transitions. I hope they add a more substancial headrest in the coming years. It also feels like a quick patch for a coaster that seems to get closer to the end of its reasonable service life, at least in its current form. Apparently the new trains are also heavier and travel the layout faster, which might be what results in the really nasty jolts that were'nt as bad before, but I just hope that the new trains don't ruin an already old and weak structure. I'd love to hear you opinions on the new trains. Do they make the experience better or worse for you? Camera: GoPro Hero 12 Black Shot on March 26th 2025.
