A beautiful border crossing that will take us to the Pass of Ibañeta to reach the historic town of Roncesvalles. In this famous town we can see the Royal Collegiate Church of Santa María ( https://www.roncesvalles.es/?4&1&idio...) this is for many pilgrims the beginning of the Way of St. James that will lead them to Santiago de Compostela ( https://www.pilgrim.es/en/french-way/). After leaving Roncesvalles behind us, we cross the small town of Burguete completely covered in snow to end this stage on the detour to our next goal, the Irati Valley.
