What's inside? #1: Klemt Echolette NG 51 S (Tube Tape Echo)

In episode #1 we will look inside of two german Echolette tube tape echos from the early 1960s. Those NG 51 S units are still highly sought after, but it is not that easy to find them advertised in really good condition. Many units found on Ebay and the like are in bad shape and probably overprized. Be sure to find an expert to fix them, because the point-to-point wiring is like a 3D puzzle not a lot of people can solve these days. And those 50-60 year old wiring is brittle and in parts thin like hair. After 50+ years, you can also be sure that likely a few people will have laid hands on the insides - so it is an adventure to ask yourself: "Whats's inside?" I will provide a follow-up when my two units are fixed. In the meantime feel free to visit my blog: tim-bastelt.blogspot.com . It's in german but you will find a Google Translate Button in the upper right corner. Orchestergeräte - Orchesterelektronik- el-me-se.de - bandecho.de - Made in Germany
