30 Soldiers Tested Our Watches for 6 Years | Micromilspec x Real Time Show

We gave thirty military personnel a box of watches in 2019 and asked them to be blunt. Six years later, the Fieldmaster exists because of what came back. Henrik sat down with Rob on The Real Time Show during Geneva Watch Days 2026 for a long conversation about how Micromilspec actually works. It covers the field testing programme that produced the Fieldmaster, why the design ended up simpler than anything we’ve made before, and what working with Horage on the K3 movement meant for a brand our size. It also gets into the less comfortable parts. Henrik is candid about where a five-person team has fallen short on looking after customers, why growth for its own sake isn’t the goal, and what happens after someone receives their watch. There’s the story of a customer who turned up with a case bent out of shape by a motorcycle accident, and the ones who wear a bezel down to nothing and describe it as normal usage. Later on, the conversation turns to whether a modern watch built with modern materials can have the same character as something older, and Henrik’s answer is that it has to earn it.
