ITSOPROJECT - ITSO (in the style of) PROJECT is an ongoing master study project. Watch artist, and fine art professor, P.G.M. take on some of histories greatest master works. Artist P.G.M. hopes ITSOPROJECT will give insight into potential strategies and techniques of a wide variety master works, movements, and mediums. While the techniques and strategies for each project utilize time, movement, and artist specific techniques, the studies don't strictly adhere to the original processes of the masterworks. Each study will have differences from the original. These will be natural variations of the artist's own hand and translation. The purpose is not to forge the original works. The goal is to understand how the effects of a specific master work could be created, to discover what makes each artist and process unique, and to create a road map for making works of similar aesthetic. ITSOPROJECT explores mediums of oil painting, watercolor and drawing. Going for more than a decade, ITSOPROJECT has completed and recorded around 200 master studies.
