Paint a glowing watercolor pumpkin with me in this beginner-friendly, step-by-step tutorial! 🎃 We’ll use light washes, soft blends, and transparent glazes to give our pumpkin a rounded shape while keeping those golden highlights. This project puts our Watercolor Workout skills into practice. We’ll mix warm oranges and natural greens, build deeper values, and add simple leaf and stem details. There’s also an optional bonus section on painting a cast shadow to help your pumpkin feel grounded. Take your time, pause whenever you need to, and enjoy the process. Your painting doesn’t need to look exactly like mine! 🎨 Supplies 140 lb cold-pressed watercolor paper, a size 6 or 8 round brush, a white mixing surface, water, and a small towel or paper towel. Paint colors: Hansa Yellow Medium, Pyrrol Red, Sap Green, Burnt Sienna, and Ultramarine Blue. Optional: Sepia and Yellow Ochre or Raw Sienna.
