DISASTER on Our First Night in France! Flooded Farmhouse & Then a Demolition Project

Join us as we travel from Bournemouth Airport to Bergerac and return to our French farmhouse in the beautiful bastide village of Laparade in Lot-et-Garonne, South West France 🇫🇷 But this trip didn’t exactly go to plan… On our very first night we were hit with a major flood after a burst water tank flooded the lounge and hallway! After the panic of clearing water and drying out the house, the work still had to continue. This week at the farmhouse: • Emergency flood cleanup • Repairing the John Deere ride-on mower with new drive belts • Mandy begins staining the new staircase balustrade • Demolishing the old lean-to at the back of the house • More progress on our French farmhouse renovation journey Life renovating an old farmhouse in France is never easy, but every trip gets us one step closer to the dream.
