Can Acupuncture Fix Muscle Knots? Real TCM Consultation & Treatment

Experiencing a real Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment in Bangkok. I came for this treatment because I had been dealing with stubborn muscle tension and knots. After reviewing my symptoms, medical history, and daily lifestyle, the TCM doctor evaluated my muscle tension through palpation and pulse diagnosis. She then suggested a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment combining electroacupuncture and cupping in a single session, with the aim of relieving pain, improving circulation, and addressing what TCM describes as energy blockages. The electroacupuncture also included an infrared TDP lamp, which was used to help soothe swelling and inflammation in the soft tissues. That was probably the most relaxing moment of the whole session. 😌 The second part of the treatment was running cupping, a technique where the cups are continuously moved across the skin rather than being left in one place. It helps release stubborn trigger points and reduces muscle guarding without leaving marks, I love it! This wasn’t exactly a relaxing treatment… but it was a fascinating experience to see how Traditional Chinese Medicine approaches muscle tension from different angles.
