SEEN ZANJEER ZANI FIRST TIME | 9th MUHARRAM | AZAAN E ALI AKBAR

In this vlog, I share my experience visiting Mochi Gate, Lahore, during the night of the 9th of Muharram. This was a very unique experience for me because, belonging to the Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat, it was the first time in my life that I stepped out at night during Muharram. We arrived around 1:30 AM and saw the massive arrangements for distributing free food like naan and plates to everyone attending. I waited with the crowd for the emotional recitation of Azaan-e-Ali Akbar. Right after, I witnessed zanjeer zani. I also captured how volunteers were immediately helping the mourners by applying bandages and treating their wounds on the spot. Despite the heavy rush and the intense energy of the crowd, we waited into the early hours of the morning to see the central Shabeeh-e-Zuljanah procession pass through the narrow streets.
