Young Sitar maestro Shakir Khan brought the house down at the historic Old St. Mary’s Church in Clonmel, Tipperary, with a soul-stirring Raga Bhairavi, marking the grand finale of his Ireland tour in 2025. With every note, Shakir transported the audience into a state of pure bliss, showcasing the depth and beauty of Indian classical music. He was brilliantly accompanied on the Tabla by the dynamic Debajyoti Sanyal, whose rhythmic artistry added rich layers to the performance. Mansi Shah provided a steady and serene drone on the Taanpura. This unforgettable afternoon was proudly presented by Clonmel Applefest in association with the Indian Classical Music Society of Ireland (ICMSI).
