What do you look for before you take a photo? I spent a morning in Islamorada with a macchiato and my camera to show you, from finding a subject to framing it for the edit.
We start at Cafe Moka in Village Square, where the macchiato scored 30/35. Then I photograph the gardens at The Banyan Tree and walk the arts district, ending at a tiny public beach access tucked behind it. Along the way I talk through what catches my eye, why I stop, and how I compose for my editing style. If you’re new to photography, this one’s for you.
