What does it truly mean to have eternal life? Most of us think of it as simply avoiding eternal punishment, but the Word of God reveals something far deeper and more personal. Drawing from John 17:3, we discover that eternal life is not a destination we arrive at after death but a living, growing knowledge of God and Jesus Christ in the present. This changes everything. It means that our faith is not about checking a box or escaping hell. It is about coming into genuine intimacy with the One who created us, the One who knows our past, present, and future perfectly, and the One who loves us more than any person on earth ever could. We explore how Jesus is described in John 1 as the true light that gives light to every person who comes into the world, and what it means that without Him, every human being walks in spiritual darkness, unable to see who they truly are or why they exist.
