Husband Blames His 6-Year-Old After Cops Read Him the Searches

On the fourth of January 2023, a detective from the Cohasset police department sat down in Brian Walshe's dining room and asked him to start at the beginning. Walshe told him his wife Ana had woken him around six on New Year's Day and left for an early flight to Washington after an emergency came up at work. Their six-year-old had come downstairs and said goodbye to her. Almost three years later, a state police trooper read the jury the search history from a laptop in that house. The first entry was made at 4:52 that morning. An hour and eight minutes before the time Walshe gave. This film is built from the recordings themselves: the two interviews played to the jury, the testimony that laid out the searches with times to the second, the evidence recovered from a transfer station, and the verdict. Brian Walshe pleaded guilty on 19 November 2025 to misleading a police investigation and to improperly moving a body. He did not plead guilty to murder. On 15 December the jury convicted him of murder in the first degree, and three days later he was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. Ana Walshe's body has never been found.
