"Waitin' for the Bus" & "Jesus Just Left Chicago" were the opening tracks on ZZ Top's 1973 album "Tres Hombres". Because of an engineering error, the songs segued into one another. Accordingly, for many years FM radio DJs played the tracks together, thinking that they were one song... "Jesus Just Left Chicago" was written by all three members of ZZ Top - Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill & Frank Beard - with Gibbons on lead vocals. On a chilly night at Gatton Park in Lexington, KY on April 19, 2026, ZZ Top played the songs one right after the other. This video captures the very end of "Waitin' for the Bus", then "Jesus Just Left Chicago" in its entirety - again with Billy Gibbons on lead guitar & vocals. Elwood Francis plays bass guitar & John Douglas is on the drums.
