The Kirin 9050 Pro has been officially announced, and will make its debut in the Mate XT 2 Extraordinary Master, a brand-new ‘Spreading Wings’ triple-fold smartphone. The Kirin 9050 Pro is Huawei’s most powerful processor to date, making its debut in the all-new Mate XT 2 Extraordinary Master ‘Spreading Wings’ triple-fold smartphone. Through the synergy of software, hardware, chip and cloud, the new triple-fold smartphone delivers a 42 per cent improvement in overall performance compared to the Mate XT. Thanks to Lingxi CPU hyper-threading technology, the Kirin 9050 Pro delivers a 24 per cent increase in single-core peak performance and a 52 per cent boost in multi-core concurrent performance. The Kirin 9050 Pro processor also supports real-time ray tracing with 50 million lines via hardware acceleration, whilst 4K video export speeds have been increased by 40 per cent. The Kirin 9050 Pro processor also features an NPU based on the Da Vinci architecture, supporting the deployment of large models of various sizes on-device and multi-level storage-computation co-optimisation technology; it incorporates the industry’s first on-device MoE full-modal large model, with a total of 30B parameters and 2B activation parameters; it natively supports the Pangu 30B-A2B large model on-device, providing a local AI photo library organisation function.
