This video explores a few fundamental ideas that will help us better understand life. First, we look at the first two laws of thermodynamics, focusing on entropy. Second, we consider the concept of information and its function in relation to life, including the role of DNA in biological information. These two concepts will help us to understand, at least on a surface level, how entropy and life are related in a sort of battle (metaphorically speaking). They will also help us to understand why life will lose this battle. NOTE: I say that the sun provides "high frequency photons" in the form of visible light. Technically, visible light has a medium frequency on the spectrum. It's low entropy energy, and higher frequency than other forms of radiant energy. Still, I should have nuanced that statement more.
