in this video I will show you how I replaced a Seiko kinetic (5M42) watch battery with a regular silver oxide (377/376) I don't recommend doing this for a few reasons of my own, but if you get into a situation where you feel like you must do this you can follow my process or get ideas from it. In this case I did three very important things. first, I made an insulator from Scotch tape to block the positive and negative terminals of the battery from coming into contact. Second, I added a little piece of foil between the bottom side of the battery and the metal piece I detached from the rechargeable battery so it would make better contact. And third, I left the rotor out so it wouldn't try to charge the new battery.
