This week is the 3 Lead 4 Bight Turks head knot tied on the left hand. this is the simplest from of Turks head knot suitable for making a woggle.
I have also made a video on how to tie on the right hand if that is easier for your young persons to follow.
A copy of the instructions can be found in a downloadable pack from the International Guild of Knot Tyers website.

for this knot I suggest you will need:
sewing needle and thread,
a 1inch to 3/4 inch tube/pole
either - 1.5m of paracord or natural cord (for one colour)
75cm of two colours of different colour
Scout Leaders, best practice first to see exactly what lengths you require in each colour before cutting up the cord.
I am filming a short series of videos based on the knots taught in Scouting. (UK) This will cover a mixture of Stopper knots (knots at the end of a rope), Bends (joins two ropes together), Hitches (ties to a ring, pole or bar), Lashings (joining poles together), Splices (joining a rope together permanently) and Whipping (knot work that stops a rope from unravelling).
I have based my choices on what is required by each group of scouting and what I have found easier for them to remember.
As I have said many times to Scouts, "a fancy or complicated knot is great but useless if you can't remember how to tie it".
