Azeez ‘disappointed’ but ready to fight charges, says lawyer

Former Tabung Haji chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Rahim is disappointed over the corruption charge against him but remains determined to clear his name through the legal process, his lawyer said. Datuk Amer Hamzah Arshad said Abdul Azeez was in good condition and remained calm as he faced the proceedings. He also described the prosecution’s request for Abdul Azeez to surrender his passport as an additional bail condition as inappropriate since Abdul Azeez has fully cooperated with the police and is not a flight risk .
