Steam Pump Tea Room Brekky Trail Run (31st May 2026)

Trying to get back into the swing of spending some quality time with mates out on the trails and having a good natter over breakfast, we're trying our very best to squeeze in at least one brekky trail run in a month. This one, to The Steam Pump Tea Room near Maldon, was suggested by Sue Smith and was our May 2026 Brekky Trail Run. We wanted to do one over in the Maldon corner of the county, because Sue and Shiny regularly come over to the our corner of Essex, so we thought it was only fair we try and do one down in Essex. I confess, when Sue shared numerous routes and café suggestions I saw the photos of the brekky and thought "what the heck, I'm sure the route will be fine" - and the breakfast didn't disappoint! Our extension also introduced a bit of additional road - but other than that the route is lovely!
