Hurricane Ida Damaged R160B 9108-9112 Returns to Service (2023)

R160B 9108-9112 onboard ride on the F Line from Church Avenue to Neptune Avenue. Hurricane Ida damaged the electrical components of R160B 9108-9112, an NYS-wrapped set. After 2 years of being out of service for repairs, the set returned to service in July 2023. The LCD information screens inside the train cars had not been updated, which provided a look at outdated PSAs from the COVID-19 pandemic such as wearing a mask and welcoming riders back into the subway after the lockdown, as well as promotional OMNY information. The set also had many nonfunctional lights and loud bucking because of its recent return to service.
