Horror Short Film: Run Little Red

Run Little Red follows a young girl desperately trying to make her way home through a forest. Along the way, she encounters a mysterious stranger who urgently warns her that a dangerous killer is nearby. Terrified by the man’s sudden appearance, she mistakes him for the threat and flees deeper into the woods. Seeking refuge, she stumbles upon what appears to be the safety of an elderly woman’s home. But as the truth unfolds, she discovers that the person she trusted was the killer all along, forcing her to confront the horrifying consequences of fear. This short film was the first one in my second year whilst studying at the University of Hertfordshire! I feel like the film could have been improved a lot however we have ran into some location issues and we were not able to get any reshoots done and this is definitely an issue that we need to plan for better in future film sets. I have learnt to have contingency plans when shooting films and always have a backup however there is not much that we could change and just have to work with what we got. I was the sound operator and editor for the film and I feel as if I am slowly starting to develop and get better at my editing skill more! I wanted to practice some animation at the end and I got inspired by the stranger things intro and wanted to include my own version as the credits! Overall, with the resources that we had, I feel as if it went alright but still could be improved.
