News Track Debate On Flydubai Terror: Aviation Experts On Mid-Air Cockpit Crisis | Smit Machchhar

A panel of international aviation and security experts joined the programme to analyse the mid-air cockpit attack aboard flight FZ1073 en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv. During the flight, an Omani co-pilot allegedly attacked Captain Smit with a weapon and forced the aircraft into an extreme dive from 34,000 to 17,000 feet before being overpowered by the wounded captain, off-duty pilots, and passengers. Discussing the incident, former Air India pilot Captain Minoo Ruchi Wadia asserted, 'It was definitely a suicide mission. It was definitely a terror attack,' while warning that radicalisation can occur rapidly and requires strict societal and institutional monitoring. Aviation security expert Dave Komendat noted that multi-nation probes will investigate security screening failures and how the weapon entered the flight deck. Squadron Leader Debalina Das and pilot-author Terry Tozer detailed the severe aerodynamics of the plunge, cockpit access systems, and the crucial instincts of the captain that prevented a catastrophic crash. #AviationSecurity #Flydubai #CaptainSmitMachchhar #itwebvideos #FlightFZ1073 #CockpitCrisis #AviationSafety #NewsScram #AirSafety #AirlineSecurity #PilotScreening #CockpitEmergency #AviationNews #CaptainSmit #AviationInvestigation #TerrorInTheSkies #FlightSafety #PilotProtocol Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
