KODAK VERITA 200D - ECN-2 vs. C-41 (vs PORTRA)

If you wondered whether to develop your respooled Verita 200D in ECN-2 as intended or just go for the C-41 route — here’s the video for you. I rated all films at ISO 200. You’ll see some Portra 400 alongside it to address the myth that Verita is actually Portra 400. For this comparison, I rated the Portra at 200 as well. I had to tweak the white balance quite a bit for all the films, depending on the situation. So some side-by-sides may look like three different films. Just keep in mind that you can edit them even further (or make them look even closer). What I can say is that the ECN-2 Verita was overall warmer, and it still was after correcting the white balance to middle gray. I won’t tell you what to think. So see for yourself and judge it by your own standards :) Disclaimer: As always, your results may vary depending on the lens, developer, scanner, and conversion process you use.
