北野祭（ずいき祭り）2026　 The Zuiki Festival procession makes its way through Kyoto's oldest geisha district.

撮影2026.10.4 北野天満宮（京都市）の秋の大祭である「北野祭（きたのさい）」の巡行（渡御列）は、毎年10月1日の「神幸祭（しんこうさい）」と、10月4日の「還幸祭（かんこうさい）」に行われます。 長年「ずいき祭」の名称で親しまれてきましたが、令和9年（2027年）の菅公御神忌1125年「半萬燈祭」に向けた旧儀復興の一環として、本来の「北野祭」に名称が改められました。 The procession associated with the "Kitano-sai"—the major autumn festival of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto—takes place during the "Shinko-sai" (transfer of the deity) on October 1st and the "Kanko-sai" (return of the deity) on October 4th each year. Although long affectionately known as the "Zuiki-sai," the festival's name was reverted to its original "Kitano-sai" as part of an effort to revive ancient rituals in preparation for the "Han-manto-sai" (Half-Myriad Lantern Festival) in 2027, which marks the 1,125th memorial anniversary of Sugawara no Michizane (Kanko).
