If you are looking for another piece of Scottish heritage, look no further than Falkland in Fife, an hour from Edinburgh.
This small town is absolutely beautiful and very historical, a place that looks as if it's straight from a movie set or TV series, which it has been, in the form of 'Outlander.'
First of though, I make the hefty climb up the Falkland hill or the Lomand hills and stare in wonder, as to how far one can actually see.
From the top in a gentle 360 degree turn and on a good day, you can see well across the Forth, outward to North Berwick and Edinburgh and then in the north you can look at Dundee and the the east the North east Neuk of Fife, a glorious view of miles and miles of country side and prominent hills.
Then Falkland town itself, a picturesque postcard of peace and beauty.
Then Falkland palace, which is now run by the National trust for Scotland, is just one of the many venues associated with this trust.
The gardens are spectacular and the oldest tennis court on hand, this is a treat for all to see. @GowithGus
Why not join us, as we take it in the sights and have faith that eventually I'll find that lost lid of Stephs drink bottle - Numpty!
