Inside a Chinese Kindergarten | Mid-Autumn Festival Open Day

What does a Mid-Autumn celebration look like at a kindergarten in China? Join me at my daughter's parent open day for handmade lanterns, festival games, crafts, and a look around the classrooms. Children and parents made the lanterns hanging along the walkway, with riddles underneath and stickers for correct answers. In the playground, old tires became giant “mooncakes” for a rolling game. We also joined obstacle games, ring toss, painting, and clay mooncake making. Then we head indoors to explore the science displays, musical instruments, art spaces, plant observation corner, and classroom activity areas, before the children join their teacher for finger-play activities.
