Gomantong Caves | Sabah, Borneo | Ep. 5

This time we enter the Gomantong Caves, renowned for the swiftlet (type of bird) population and their valuable nests. These nests are harvested for bird's nest soup and can sell for very high prices. The cave system is home to many other animals, including massive populations of cockroaches and bats. After our visit to the cave, we round off our Kinabatangan River experience with one last evening cruise, getting up close with a range of different monkey species and wildlife.
