QUIET ROOMS FOR PEOPLE WHO WORK ALONE
A small room in an old Japanese house, late at night. The shoji are closed and the house has gone quiet. On the low desk, an old wooden radio glows amber at low volume, next to a blank notebook and a pencil. One paper lantern burns in the corner. If tomorrow is already crowding into your head - the meeting, the list, the things that might go wrong - this room is for tonight. Tomorrow will still be there in the morning.
This is nocturnal jazz for people who worry about tomorrow - 2 hours 6 minutes of slow piano, brushed drums and warm double bass, made as background music for late work, studying and long quiet hours on your own.

Over two hours of slow ambient jazz - soft upright piano, brushed drums kept low, warm double bass. No sudden swells. No climax. Built to sit behind long work and stay there.
For the nights when your mind runs ahead to tomorrow. Let it wait.
A new room every day - subscribe so the next one finds you.
Best with headphones at low volume.
Engawa is a collection of quiet Japanese interiors for people who work alone. An engawa is the narrow wooden veranda between the inside of a house and the garden beyond - neither one room nor the other. A place to sit while you think.
