Viking HEMA Bridge Skirmish Battle!

We attended the UK's largest Viking martial arts event: Grimnar - The Masked Ones! Grimnar is held twice a year by members of the re-enactment group Regia Anglorum as part of their Authentic Combat Study and Simulation project, and brings in practitioners from all over the UK and Europe for a full weekend of duelling and melee games. The rules are simple: any part of the body is a valid target and it only takes one good cut or thrust to be taken out of action. Armour is considered protective and hits landed on any steel helmets and chainmail are disregarded, and spears can be thrown! This series of bridge battles is considered 'free' and we have no restrictions on any equipment used. Missile weapons are allowed
