Life 50 Years Ago | 70-Year-Old Baba Ji Reveals Old Culture of Punjab Welcome to Pind Ratike, a channel dedicated to preserving the real stories, memories, traditions, culture, and lifestyle of villages in Punjab. In today's special village interview, we sit with a 70-year-old Baba Ji who shares his memories and experiences from the old days. His stories take us back to a time when life was very different from what we see today. What was life like in Punjab 50 years ago? How did people live without modern technology? What did people eat? How did children spend their childhood? How did villagers travel from one place to another? What were the prices of everyday things? How did people work in the fields? How were illnesses treated? What was village life really like? In this video, Baba Ji talks about these memories from his own experience and gives us a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of old Punjab. 🌾 Life in Punjab 50 Years Ago Life in Punjab decades ago was much simpler in many ways. Villages were surrounded by agricultural fields, trees, animals, mud houses, traditional courtyards, and simple roads. People spent much of their time working, farming, taking care of animals, meeting relatives, and helping their neighbors. Modern facilities that we take for granted today were not available in the same way. Mobile phones, social media, smartphones, modern vehicles, and many other technologies had not become part of everyday village life. Baba Ji remembers how people spent their days and how families lived together. His memories provide an interesting look at the lifestyle of an older generation that experienced Punjab before the rapid changes of modern life. 👴 Baba Ji Shares His Childhood Memories One of the most interesting parts of this interview is hearing Baba Ji talk about his childhood. Every elder has memories that are different from another person's memories. Childhood in the old villages included simple games, friendships, family gatherings, helping parents, working around the house, and spending time outdoors. Baba Ji shares memories from the time when children did not have smartphones, computers, or modern entertainment. Instead, children found different ways to enjoy their free time and spent more time with other children in their villages. His stories allow us to compare childhood in the past with childhood today. 💰 Prices and Inflation in the Old Days Another important topic discussed in this interview is the cost of living and inflation during Baba Ji's childhood. Today, prices of food, clothing, transportation, farming supplies, and other daily necessities are very different from the past. Baba Ji remembers the prices and economic conditions of his younger days and explains how people managed their household expenses. He talks about the things people used to buy and how much they cost during that period. These memories are particularly interesting because they come directly from someone who lived through that time. The purpose of this conversation is to preserve Baba Ji's memories and allow viewers to hear how he remembers the economic situation of his childhood. 🚜 Traditional Farming in Punjab Punjab has always been strongly connected with agriculture, and village life was closely connected with farming. In the past, farmers relied heavily on traditional methods and physical labor. Farming equipment and machinery were not as advanced or widely available as they are today. would like to hear about next. 🔔 Subscribe to Pind Ratike for more interviews with elderly people and more stories from the villages of Punjab.
