'willow tree' is the first single of our upcoming album (2027) This composition is dedicated to the metamorphosis of things. From what seems to die or break, a new life can be born. And some things, when they are so close, seem to dissolve into one another. In the summer of 2019, I met Robert Young, the luthier who would make my cello. A room full of wood, the smell of sawdust, toothed tools, open books. So many trees that had stopped growing only to end up in silence in this space... The hours passed, and this grief became a kind of fascination. Robert’s hands moved over the wood and, little by little, with anatomical meticulousness, a new object was born.
