I Made a Tambour Door from ONE Piece of Cardboard

A seamless tambour door — made from a single sheet of cardboard. Look closely at cardboard and you'll find a hidden structure: a wavy corrugated layer sandwiched between two flat sheets. By studying that structure, I developed a technique called the "half-cut" — where only one layer is cut away, leaving the rest intact. No extra materials, no patching. Just clean, seamless corners. Repeat that cut 32 times, and you get a fully flexible tambour door that slides open and shut like silk. The curved slide rail guides it around the arc — cut with the precision of a sewing machine. This is a new way to work with cardboard.
