To Hokitika...in a classic!

Me again, another flight up the West Coast of the South Island today going from Franz Jopsef to Hokitika. I'm in a 'new' classic, the wonderful VSkyLabs Junkers A50 Junior. This one is modelled on the actual Junkers A50 junior (built in the 1930's), currently back in production. Based on the original plans but with upgraded avionics and power plant this wee beauty still captures the imagination of pilots everywhere she is displayed. The VSkyLabs plane is made in close conjunction with the actual company that makes them so you know its going to be as close as you can get to the real thing! There are currently three versions built in real life,A50 Junior, the A50 Heritage, with 9 cylinder radial engine and steam gauges for that 'classic' feel, and the A60 tricycle gear with canopy.
