America's best-selling margarine brands promise butter on the front. The labels and federal records show what's actually inside. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 00:00 – Intro 00:42 – #7 Brummel and Brown 03:29 – #6 Smart Balance 06:51 – #5 Blue Bonnet 10:04 – #4 Imperial 13:35 – #3 I Can't Believe It's Not Butter 17:07 – #2 Parkay Spray) 20:16 – #1 brand (Country Crock) 25:02 – Best option #3: Earth Balance Organic Whipped Buttery Spread 26:36 – Best option #2: Melt Organic 27:55 – Best option #1: Miyoko's Creamery cultured vegan butter 29:37 – Outro 🔍 We investigated seven margarine and spread brands in the American grocery store: Brummel & Brown, Smart Balance, Blue Bonnet, Imperial, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, Parkay Spray and Country Crock. We examined ingredient lists and fillers, additives and processing, price per ounce, sourcing and origin labelling, and enforcement records. ✅ We then reveal three that hold up: Earth Balance, which lists oil before water and is Non-GMO Project Verified; Melt Organic, certified organic, fair trade and a certified B Corporation; and Miyoko's Creamery, four to six organic ingredients. 🛒 You'll also learn the ten-second check that tells you, in any store, whether what you are holding is mostly oil or mostly water. ⚠️ Findings reflect publicly available labels, regulatory records and testing available at the time of production, and may refer to specific lots or variants rather than a brand as a whole. Recipes change, so check current packaging. Disclaimer: This video is for general educational purposes only and is not medical advice.
