Tales of Symphonia- Kratos 2 (Mania)

The slowdown in this recording was terrible!! I'm sorry!! Been a while since it's been this bad!!! Yes guys! Forget the Plantix, forget the guy with the corndog arm and eyepatch (is he a pirate?), forget the music I've been making, it's an actually attractive middle aged man who you fight early on in the game and he's so absurdly powerful then that you're kinda meant to lose! This shows you how far you've come!!! This is all my viewers want so here you go!!! The long awaited!!! I'm not gonna lie, I recorded this a while ago and don't remember what, if any, actual strategies I employed in this fight. I tried using Regal but I'm really unimpressed with him as a melee partner on Mania, he tends to back off way too much and leaves you basically to handle the enemy yourself, and by yourself it's generally impossible to get the enemies to start staggering into a combo unless you have Genis or Raine casting magic at them. Meaning you have to spend half your time blocking enemy attacks and maybe only hitting them at the end of a combo, which means you're gonna take a combo to the face and have to wait for your spellcasters or friend to come up and attack from a different angle. The meta of this game of course is jumping over enemies and attacking them from the back but I admit that would make the fights more boring. Kratos and Zelos were capable of balancing healing and attacking at a much more economic rate. Maybe I'll swap Presea in for Torrent Forest and the Giant Tree boss fights, since she has no magic and is a very powerful (but slow) counterpoint to Lloyd's quick (but sort of weak) attacks. She'll never back off to cast magic, she'll always be on the frontlines with you. Sure you lose another extra healer, but at this point in the game Raine is an absolute grandmaster at healing, and you may as well leave her to it exclusively. I keep the Claw Gauntlet on both Presea and Lloyd for the whole game because of the massive strength boost it gives them; may as well put it to good use right? I enjoy the "glass cannon" build it gives them.
