Obadiah Green – Prayer under the Iron Sky [Unreleased 1975 Album]Roots Reggae | Dub | Rastafari

Prayer under the Iron Sky is a fictional lost-session concept imagined as a deeply spiritual 1975 roots-reggae recording made beneath the shadow of gathering storms. A heavy bassline moves patiently beneath organic one-drop drums, warm Hammond organ and sparse guitar skanks, while mournful horns, spring reverb and worn tape echoes create the feeling of distant thunder rolling across a dark valley. Across ten meditative songs, Obadiah Green turns the storm into a spiritual journey through suffering, humility, protection and faith. Poor people pray beneath heavy clouds, children are held close through the night, lightning briefly reveals the narrow road ahead, and gratitude is offered before any promise that the sky will clear. The closing Peace Come with the Morning completes the journey with quiet assurance: darkness may remain for a season, but faith keeps watch for dawn. TRACKLIST 1. Prayer under the Iron Sky 2.
